Low-Cost X-ray Service for Electronic Assembly Inspection

Private Island Networks Inc. offers an affordable X-ray inspection service for electronic assemblies and/or components using a customer friendly ship-in / ship-out process. We guarantee a quick turnaround of 48 hours or less using our Glenbrook RTX-113 Micro-30 X-ray system.

The RTX-113 X-ray system utilizes a PC controlled 40 to 80 kV x-ray tube with 30 micron focal spot and patented XRTV x-ray camera technology enhanced with Crystal X Imaging for higher contrast. This combination provides high resolution and magnification supporting up to 100x geometric and 225x optical magnification. The service entails receiving the customer board(s) and components(s), capturing a pre-determined number of images, and subsequently sending images and boards/components back to customer. Images are sent via email and can also be returned by USB thumb drive upon request. All images are the sole property of the customer and for their exclusive use.

Cost is based on 1) number of images captured that are transferred to customer; 2) engineering time to operate the X-ray machine; and 3) time to discuss results with customer, including iterations as requested.

Other related services offered include detailed image capture using microscopes, including a side view microscope for evaluating BGA reflow.

X-ray machine is fully registered with the state of Florida for inspection of electronic assemblies.
